Thetford Town Cricket Club was founded in the late nineteenth century and the original clubhouse (pictured center) has been in use ever since. The clubhouse has since been condemned and demolished.
The Club became one of the founder members of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance, still the premier cricket organisation in the County today. For 25 years TTCC competed solidly in this competition, gaining divisional winners status on more than one occasion. However, at the end of the twentieth century a few barren years were to follow, as a reduction in the playing strength resulted in consecutive relegations and an eventual drop into the Norfolk League, where we managed to consolidate our position. Both Saturday teams have since regained promotion and are now once again playing in the
Frankly Digital Norfolk Cricket Alliance.
